Basically, I was in over my head. This is not an excuse to any one of you wonderful people that decided to be apart of this server. I had constant school work, legitimately 3-4 ddosers every week that would take the server offline, an admin who was far superior in coding than I am, a low player base despite $100-$200 advertisements every month, a stand-still with the capabilities of the client, numerous bugs which simply could not be fixed unless I had changed the source of the server completely, issues with paypal, issues with people reclaiming donations, issues with in-game related bugs, issues with spending literally 6-8 hours a day on the server only to be constantly fixing one bug just so another bug could appear, issues with the drop rate system, issues with the drop rate increase percentage items, issues with mage/range-based attack styles, issues with adding custom items, issues with literally everything you could imagine.
I sincerely apologize to my player base, and especially to William. He cared about this server just as much as I did, and did everything in his power to keep the community in tact despite an absent owner (me). I absolutely loved running the server and installing updates, but trying to fix bugs on the server (that were over my head) was simply too much. I would spend 2-3 hours attempting to fix one small thing only to either realize that I messed multiple other things up or the client simply couldn't handle the update. Furthermore, T H C is a literal god. That man is going to be an incredibly successful person, and I truly appreciate his time and dedication. He is one of the major reasons Leedlescape hit it's peak years ago. I could not have done this without his help, and if he ever sees this I sincerely wish him the best. I don't exactly remember, but i know we did not end on the best of terms.
Just in case, here's a very small list of what he successfully integrated:
Working pets
Fixed the mage/range system (basically redid an entire section in the source)
made it possible to ::vote
repackaged the server so it was more manageable
added curses
fixed the fast-hitting weapons
I'm not even sure what to say. This is the first time I've been on this website in years, and reviewing the upset players (especially william) legitimately hurts. I did not mean to upset anyone, or create tension. If any of you are reading this, I hope everyone has been well. I truly am thankful for all of your support. Bringing back Leedle would be an absolute pleasure of mine.
